my hubby, the genius

hi, it's been a while since i posted anythg. yeah, time always envy me (or is it the other way around?)
today, i would like to talk abt my other half, my wonderful husband.
he's originally a mechanical engineer graduate but now he is more towards design engineering.
he has been involved in big projects such as the emirates palace in abu dhabi, the clock of mecca tower, the dome of the ministry of foreign affairs in abu dhabi, masjid sultan abdul halim in kedah, the monorail and the current project is the art n science museum near marina bay sands, singapore.
during the initial period of our relatioship, i only assumed that he is just your-normal-everyday-engineer.
after our marriage, then i started to realise that i am married to one of the company (DK Composites) best engineers.
i started to get to know his previous projects and started to know more of his field. luckily, i had the chance to see his workmanship first hand when he was working in dubai and i went there for a visit.
we went to emirates palace n the ministry of foreign affair, abu dhabi.
it was such an amazing experience, looking the the beautiful domes and at the same time feeling proud that my husband was the project engineer behind it.

i would always remind my students to strive for the best as i want them to be part of something huge and amazing in the future, like my husband did.

unfortunately, married to the best means that i was always left at home coz its either he has to stay back so late at nite or going for some work trips somewhere.
here r some of the pic of his current project in singapore

it's been a while...

kia ora!
gosh! it has been a while since i posted anything...hmmm to tell you the truth, i have a lot of things to say but unfortunately my dearest, time do envy me.
my usual days start with:
  • waking up at 4.45 or 5.00 a.m
  • taking my bath, perform my subuh prayer
  • ironing my clothes(which i normally try to do the nite before)
  • have my very simple breakfast(consist of Special K and milk)
  • put all my things into the car
  • prepare the kid's milk(which they NEED to have the moment they are in the car)
  • carry the girls, one by one into the car(which i stuff them with milk before they even have time to scream their lungs out hahahaha)
  • put the house alarm on and lock the house
  • reverse the car
  • lock the gate(which i normally don't do if my husband is around)
  • send the kids to babysitter
  • drive to college (phew!)
basically, it's almost the same even if my husband is around but the workload is lighter.
he'll help me put the things in the car the nite before or sometimes he'll carry the girls into the car('cause they know they could not throw any tantrum with ayah around hahaha)
in the evening, i'll pick up the girls, drop by at my mum's(which is very near to the babysitter) and then drive back home.
taking the girls out from the car and start preparing dinner.
and by 9.30pm, i'll put the girls to bed and then finally, i can pay attention to my things(work, books or magazines and even newspaper to read)
i must say sometimes i amaze with myself (impress actually hehehe)

Express Myself!!

just came back from watching public speaking competition. feeling a little bit down as we only managed to get 3rd place. could you say that a public speaker has the connection with the audience just because the hall was cramped with THEIR supporters and THEY were the one who give reactions to her?? listening to her speech gives us the impression that it is NOT written by her! points such as going to work, neighbours next door are examples not experienced by a teenager, duuhh!!!
i'm proud to say that ayesha has done a good job. BRAVO! but again, i might say that this would be my final year training public speaker. 3 years doing it is enough! i'm the kind of person who dislike doing the same things for a long period of time. even being in a same place bores me. need new environment, new things just to keep me sane! and anyway, all those late hours going back home after the training session is taking a toll on me. not to mention my daughters as well! there was this once when i picked up the kids late and the baby showed her protest by screaming all the way home!
enough is enough, not doing this again!

presentiiingg... my beautiful daughters! i have 2, the elder one is nearly 3 years old n the baby is 8 months old. kakak's name is Sofea Najla (meaning: gentle beautiful eyes) and adik is Sabrina Nafeesa (meaning: the precious patient one).
sometimes, looking at them n how perfect they turn out 2 be make me thank to God over n over again. during my young days, i took A LOT of slimming products. sendayu tinggi, NP slim, teh orang kampung, mustika ratu, etc. u name it, i have tried everything. before marrying my husband, i kept on asking myself whether i have damage my body and will i able to have children. when i got 2 know that i was pregnant with najla, i almost cried with relief!
i have never discussed this with anyone, even my husband...
